We found inspiration in Japanese boro which has been practised by folk farmers for centuries. Their textiles were indigo dyed and hand woven. Fragments were too precious to discard. Worn out garments would be patched with simple hand-stitches. The garments were worn and handed down through generations. As a result, Japanese boro exemplifies the practice of mending instead of replacing, while illustrating the imperfect beauty in monochrome.
Our D-SACs are made of worn denim garments which we deconstruct, re-assign and sew by hand. The lining is made using cotton shirting. For your protection, this tote has a snap closure (aren't we thoughtful) and an inside pocket.
Take it everywhere and when it wears out... patch it up.
While the product images are a very good representation of the product, they do not depict the exact product you will be receiving. Each D-SAC will vary in the shades of denim and distress markings.
